Artie is a 6 year old Border Collie Toy Poodle. He started Flyball when he was 15 months, and very quickly picked up the technique. He absolutely loves it!! He runs a solid 4.7 secs. His achilleas heel has been with interference as he decided early on that running after the dog in the other lane was great fun (despite never being one to chase other dogs… though he does have a massive prey drive)!

After a 2 year break during the pandemic he came back stronger, and he and his owner have worked hard together over the last couple of years to break the chasing habit. This, coupled with an amazing teams help & support has led to 100% clean runs consistently in training, with solid performances in both Little League and League singles and pairs events.

Since 2023 Artie has been transitioning into full team League events. His performance is still hit and miss when it’s an 8 dog line-up, but we’re making progress each competition.

Artie also earnt his cadet badge in March 2024.
